Weather Watcher 1.5 submitted!

Posted by Branden Russell on Apr 25, 2010 in Sneak Peek, Submission, Weather Watcher

I just submitted a huge update for Weather Watcher to Apple. It’s a pretty much rewrite of the app. It runs on all iPhone OS devices (iPhone, iPod Touch, and iPad).

The iPad is now supported and has full screen weather details and images. Here are some sneak peak shots. Night weather, Day weather, Landscape.

Basically all that is new on the iPhone/iPod Touch right now is the new icon and weather condition images. I’m going to add some of the other new features in a future update, I just wanted to focus on getting something that ran on the iPad first.

Weather Watcher progress

Posted by Branden Russell on Apr 22, 2010 in Sneak Peek, Weather Watcher

I’ve got Weather Watcher working on the iPad. It’s one app that runs on iPhone, iPod Touch, and the iPad as a universal app. I’ve gotten all new artwork and a shiny new icon. The app is nearing submission. I’m done with everything except having it display a forecast. I’ve already got all new full screen art, weather condition images, and more current condition details. I’ll get some sneak peak images as soon as I have the forecast details displayed.

Photo Shooter update delayed

Posted by Branden Russell on Apr 7, 2010 in Photo Shooter, Submission

Apparently all iPad apps are required to accept any orientation. So Photo Shooter was rejected and I added the ability for the iPad to rotate in any direction and resubmitted. Hopefully that will get it approved.

Go SCUBA! was just approved and is available on the app store. This is just a memory leak, crash fix patch until I can get the rewrite done.

Photo Shooter sneak peek

Posted by Branden Russell on Apr 2, 2010 in Photo Shooter, Sneak Peek

I’m nearly done with a universal version of Photo Shooter and Photo Shooter Lite. It is one app (and a free upgrade for those that have already bought it) that runs on the iPhone, iPod Touch, and iPad. The iPhone part will look and work the same. The new iPad part will take advantage of the huge screen space and will use popovers to let you pick images, change settings, and choose a weapon (weapon selection is full version only still).

I want to get my iPad tomorrow and try it out and make any tweaks before I submit this update.

Go SCUBA update submitted

Posted by Branden Russell on Apr 2, 2010 in Go SCUBA!, Submission

I just submitted an update for SCUBA that will fix memory leaks, crashes, and sort on State for Dive Site. I’m still hard at work on a rewrite that includes lots of nice new features, but I wanted to get those issues fixed since the rewrite is taking a lot longer than I had expected.

iPad Update

Posted by Branden Russell on Mar 31, 2010 in Go SCUBA!, Photo Shooter, Weather Watcher

I’m working on a major update to Weather Watcher to bring beautiful graphics, more details, etc. Plus a special iPad version. It’ll be one app that runs on all devices. On the iPhone it’ll be somewhat like it is now plus a special update and on the iPad, it’ll take advantage of all that huge amount of space and work similarly to the iPad’s Mail app. I’m still waiting on the art work to be done.

I’m also about to submit a copy of Photo Shooter that includes iPad support so you get full screen and don’t have to have it be stretched running in iPhone support mode. Other than that, it’ll currently work the same on the iPhone and iPad. Just more space on the iPad to play.

I’m still working on that SCUBA rewrite, but since it’s taking me a lot longer to finish than I had planned, I think I’m going to submit a small crash/bug fix update just to hold people over until I can get the all new app out.

Weather Watcher 1.1.9 submitted

Posted by Branden Russell on Mar 15, 2010 in Submission, Weather Watcher

I just submitted version 1.1.9 of Weather Watcher.

Changes:

Added ability for the badge to update each time you open the app. Great for those on iPods or those that want to force an update to the badge number.

Fixed rare issue of device registering for updates when push hadn’t finished enabling for the first time.

Corrected name of “WeatherBug” by removing the space.
